Where had life gone? The little trickles of life in this world seemed to be gone for her. The dreams that she had were all abolished with a mighty crush of the hammer of morality. The dream that she had had was to be an industrial entrepreneur; a figurehead of society if you would. She certainly had the mind for it. Yet there seemed to be something in the way. This was of course fate, or God, or whatever it pleases you to call it. An oppressive government tyranically ruled by an oppressive figurehead. One might say that would be a cause for some rebellion.
That was a part of what Shion was. She had decided that she did not want to become one of those figureheads. But now here the seventeen year old was. She was currently sitting in a training arena watching an empty scene. She had no idea what was going to happen or when. She only knew that when it did that she would be ready. She must be.
But that was what she did; she observed. But yet she seemed to be observing from a somewhat biased view this time. That didn't matter though. The biased vew that she had was perfectly right. There was no question about it.

(Tyson's Age Change takes effect after this thread. I accidentally put 18, it was supposed to be 16)
Was there no justice in the world? On the dawn of damnation, under the oppression, it seemed like a stalemate. Although he tried to tell his people otherwise slightly, to boost morale, no one was winning the war. It was a complete stalemate right now, it seemed. When the people were under the rule of tyranny, and a group stepped out of line to retrieve justice whether they had to go to the ends of the earth or not to do it, the result remained the same. A stalemate, wasting precious time, and resources, to go nowhere.
It was almost as if who was right, and who was wrong, mattered not. However, this was the way of war, this is the art of war, there's no right or wrong, just winners, and losers, because all is fair in love and war. As Tyson walked into the arena, this very thing was on his mind, as he began to think about why exactly things were how they were, how it had gotten this far, and why they hadn't started to see a positive turn to the war effort so far. As the leader of the Rebels, these were things he had to figure out.
Before long, he tried to shake off his thoughts, only being somewhat sucessful. He looked around, before seeing a fellow rebel that sitting in the stands, seemingly bored, thinking, or all of the above. He waved to her, and was somewhat glad that he wasn't the only one in the Stadium.
"What brings you here, young one?" Tyson yelled slightly, since she was in the stands from what he could tell, which was slightly ironic, seeing as how he himself was only 18 years of age.

Young one? What a pretentious little prick. Shion felt incredibly irritated with this man's speaking. He didn't seem all that older then herself. She did not look that young either. But he was a Rebel. If he wasn't a Rebel then he would not be here. This of course was the speaking from a woman who had not met the leader as of yet. She had been recruited by a man off the street and had had no brushes with the higher officers of their order. So she wasn't about to get up and she would not treat this man any different then a person who had just been rude enough to call her that. Talk about your negative first impressions.
"Young one? Do you call everyone that?" She had a very high-sounding voice. It wasn't so much that it was high-pitched but it was that she sounded like she came from a very dignified family. Even in the middle class could there be an educated individual. She leaned heavier upon her knee and gazed upon him with blue eyes behind brown bangs that fell from her hairtie. She was garbed in a blouse and black pants. That was a normal garb for her. She tilted her head.
"I hope not. Seems like a bad way to do business but hey, I don't know how long you've been in this group. Compared to me you could be an old geezer in these parts." So perhaps the new woman had a wickedly barbed wit. It wasn't likely to change when she knew who he was either.

Well, it seemed this girl was quite rude. He obviously hadn't meant anything by it, but no matter, because this girl was just as rude to the Rebels as she probably was to the Loyalist, and if she was worse to the Totalitarians, then for the first time in his life, he actually felt bad for them. He looked to the girl with emotionless eyes, frowning slightly, it saddened him that a member of his own group was treating him this way.
"I didn't mean anything by it, I just don't know your name. Forgive me, since I happened to be the leader of this group, not someone who just joined in, it's hard to know the names and faces of everyone we have. It's not like the Rebels, like us, have a simple thing we can just look in to find everybody's records very well. We get too much new support." He shook his head, sighing slightly."
"And I fail to see how talking to another member of the same team is doing business." He said this, of course, as more of a play on her words for something they are not instead of paying attention to her figure of speech.

"Simple." She stood to her feet and started to walk along the bleachers towards him with her hands behind her back and her shoulders stiff. She was a very prim and proper woman. She walked stiffly as if she were examining or perhaps a drill seargeant. She stopped and looked him directly in the eye. This look would tell him that she wasn't one for authority. She would at least not completely bow to them. She would follow orders and follow them efficiently but she would pay them the same respect that she did everyone else. She would treat them as human.
"Seeing as this is our first encounter and you are the leader of our organization, you are doing business in that you are trying to be an appealing leader. After all was that not why we joined? We disagreed with those that were above us and we rebelled but we needed a leader. Judging by your age you seem as if you need to be charismatic in order to stay leader. You do not have the life experience to have an infinite amount of wisdom underneath your belt. So essentially you are doing business with me in that you are trying to be a semi-appealing leader and I am doing business in that I want to keep my position, however meager it may be." She held out her hand towards him for a handshake.
"That being said, my name is Shion Kurosaki and I am a new recruit from the last batch of recruits that came in."

Ignoring her comments about business because he didn't have the patience for a witty response, he did the proper thing and shook her hand. He remained calm, even though this girl had quite the mouth on her, telling him how she imagined he had to run his job. It was honestly somewhat annoying more than anything else, but he made sure not to mention this. The last thing he needed, was for someone to turn against him, even though the rebels were doing excellent with support, word spreads faster than weapons.
"Splendid. Pleasure to meet you, Miss Kurosaki, welcome to the team." He moved his mouth to one side for a second, before relaxing.
"How do you like it so far? I believe the last batch came in...about a week ago?"

Miss Kurosaki? That was enough of a concept to make her laugh. He was a little too sophisticated for her tastes. It seemed fake to her. She couldn't help but think in her mind that he was acting like a fourty year old instead of... what... 20 at best? She however acknowedged his next question with the lightest of shrugs.
"Would you like my honest opinion on that subject?" She asked him thoughtfully. Her honest opinion could be less then pleasant.

Tyson slightly squinted at her, moving his mouth to one side, was her opinion rather harsh? Probably, the girl did seem to have quite the tongue on her, but he figured she was probably honest about what she saw, or at the very least an outright pessimist so hearing her perspective probably wouldn't be too dangerously bad. He might as well.
"Actually, yes, yes I would. Can't be too terrible, and if it is, there's probably something I screwed up on anyway, and I'll need to fix it."

"Don't give yourself too little credit." She raised one hand in front of her elegantly and shook her head as if to tell him to stop such nonsense. Shion opened her eyes to look straight into his with the fires of determination that she had always had. "You've done the intelligent thing. But that is what my problem is. I have been here a week but I still have the feeling that my presence is not worth much in this place. Responsibilities are thin and there is no method of which to prove myself. So to tell the honest truth..."
She lowered her hand and gave a light shrug towards him in dismay and aggrivation.
"I am bored and feel that I am a wasted resource."
It was a bold speech and a bold move from the young woman but shyness never got anyone anywhere in life. [/size]

"Ah, I see, a wasted commodity. Has no one trained you yet with exactly what we do here? I find that strange, definitely not something that's normal. But yes, I understand the boredom, since no one seems to be stepping outside their side, there are no front lines right now. Only a line that lingers to mark the boundary between the two sides, and nothing else, the divider is barren, lined with many guns to terminate anything or anyone on the wrong side of the line."
Tyson shrugged, and sighed. "The best way to prove yourself in this organization is being prepared, so when the widespread battles, which will happen, approach, you are ready, and put on a good showing against the enemy. However...."
He smiled slightly, thinking.
"I think there might be a few special infiltrations you could run on or something. But that requires diligence in your training. I could teach you some tips and tricks with fighting for the Rebels, but you seem smart enough to learn these with just normal training," He chuckled slightly. "But, since your instructor is probably slacking, I suppose I could help you learn a few things to get caught up to where you should be, if you want me to."
